Summary

    After years of searching, you finally found the artifact of legend said to grant the user unlimited power. Just as you were about to take it, you see an inscription that states: "Take this power at your own peril. Your lifeforce will be my sustenance."

    You ignore this and take the artifact anyway. In doing so, an earthquake follows causing your path to the alter to be destroyed.

    Discover the true nature of this artifact and its power and find a way to escape.

Game Theme

    This game was submitted for the Game Off 2022 Game Jam with the theme being "Cliche". I decided to go with the cliche of "What doesn't kill you will only make you stronger".  The idea behind this is the damage you take will boost your own damage and jumping capabilities.

Engine and Tools

    The following software were used to make this game:

        - Game was made in Unreal Engine 5.  

        - 3D models were made in Blender.

        - Textures were made using Material Maker (really awesome tool if anyone wants             a free Substance Designer alternative). https://rodzilla.itch.io/material-maker

Credits

    Background music was made by pixelsphere.org and obtained from:  https://opengameart.org/content/mysterious-ambience-song21. Modifications to the pitch was made to make it fit the game a bit better.

    All other assets were made by me.
